Recruiter reached out to me for this role and we agreed on a salary figure before I gave my consent to appear for the process. I cleared all the rounds(OA+4 rounds including DSA and System Design and Techno Managerial and HR). I was told that I am selected for this position but they will get back to me on the salary part. Such an unprofessional conduct on their part. It's been 3 weeks since the process has completed and the figure that they came up with is >20% lower than what was agreed upon before the interviews. If you are really serious about hiring in India then why are you not willing to pay as per skillset of the candidate? And most importantly why are you backing off from the commitment that you had given. Just a piece of advice to all who will appear for their interviews in future. Get a conditional offer even before you appear for the interview because they will flip later on for sure.
