In my scenario, I was penalised for giving answers based on my previous experience; rather than tackling the solutions in-real-time however it wasn't suggested that that is what they were looking for. I was also penalised for not remembering details of the assessment I had submitted one week prior; which I feel is harsh considering I interviewed during my work time so would be context switching.
