PE was my dream company. Throughout my life, I have used their instruments. Applied for two positions: Principal Scientist and Inorganic Scientist.
HR called me after a month. HR interviewed me for Principal Scientist position and immediately set up a phone interview with the hiring manager. Next week, the hiring manager told me that he is interviewing me for the Inorganic Scientist position. I told him that HR interviewed me for another position. He was not sure, so he continued. I had the worse experience so far. It was completely unprofessional. The hiring manager has almost nothing to ask. Few direct technical questions (I answered those perfectly). Immediately after that he started explaining me how hard it is to screen all the candidates. Then the most unique thing happened. He started talking about my immigration status. It is completely unacceptable. HR deals with this. Hiring manager has nothing to do with it. Then some unexpected questions and comments: e.g., there are many people who lost their jobs and they need it the most. So they should be in our priority list....; Do I need this job as I already have a job..... ; and so on (Trust me. I am telling you the truth, 100% truth).
It is not over yet. Couple of weeks ago another HR member called me and started interviewing me. After couple of questions, I asked her to repeat the name of the position Surprisingly, it was the same position. I told her that I'd been interviewed by the hiring manager already. Then she started saying me how unprofessional it would be if she interviewed me again. Well, you called me. Please see the file before you start interviewing someone; or you do not update anything. Horrible!!!
In short, there is no communication between HR and Tech team. The worst experience so far. The most inefficient and unprofessional people. I think, if you directly go to the HR with a fake offer letter, there is a high chance that they will appoint you :)
Stay away from this company. There are many others, go for those.

The interview process is very smooth and asked about motivations, skills, and future career goals. The questions are not really tough to answer and it was a very respectful and relaxed conversation.

Ich hatte ein angenehmes Gespräch mit der Personalabteilung, die mir recht schnell einen Termin für das zweite Gespräch gab. Das Gespräch mit dem Abteilungsleiter war sehr professionell und enthielt viele berufsbezogene Fragen.
