Had an initial phone screen. Then they asked me to complete an assignment that is supposed to take 2-3 days. I spent 24 hours on the assignment because the assignment included working with Google Maps API, which I've never done.
After completing the assignment, I spoke with two other front-end engineers. They gave me great feedback. I spoke with the CTO for a final interview.
Later, I went to their office to finalize an offer. They asked me what my expected salary was. Then they told me that they can only afford a lower amount. I told them that I'm willing to negotiate and they said they would get back to me. This happened one week before Christmas.
I didn't hear back within 7 days so I emailed them a bit after Christmas. No response. I followed up again. No response. Pretty unprofessional for a company that wanted to give me an offer.
