Interview was very easy with friendly staff, they spent most of the time explaining to me the specifics of the position and place that I would be working in. They left a lot of time for me to ask questions, so have questions ready. First, I interviewed over the phone and the hiring manager said that I was the only one he could understand properly, so be eloquent on the phone.

Despite only applying for an entry level organic chemist position, they formatted the interview so half was for that position and the other for a job I didn't apply for. That was strange and I will admit a bit off-putting since I've never experienced that before. I interviewed right around when the pandemic started over video call. I am going to blame it on lack of virtual interviewing experience rather than poor interview etiquette, but one of the interviewers didn't once look at the camera and was pulling rude faces at some of my answers/questions. I have to assume he did not realize his camera was on. I did not bomb the interview and did not ask anything out of the ordinary that should cause this outward display of obvious disapproval. This was truly one of the most odd interview experiences I have ever had over the years. I withdrew my application as a result of my experience and have serious reservations about applying within the company again even at another location.
