Just a word of warning, they conduct fake “performative” interviews with no intention of hiring (at least you). This company have government contracts and for ‘equal opportunity’ and EU regulatory reasons, if they want to hire internally or an H1B, they need to interview external candidates for a checkbox as ‘proof’. Received an ‘urgent’ request for an interview, so that arose my suspicions right away. Then I ‘tested’ the face-to-face interviewer at the first-half of the meeting by stating “if I got the role…”, and he just awkwardly chuckled. They have no qualms about wasting your energy, time, PTO, gas money etc. and I definitely feel like an idiot wasting my PTO and gas just to be one their checkboxes. Go with your instinct and think twice before you accept an (especially) on-site interview.
Companies that play these games deserve to fail; I’m approaching mid-senior level in my industry now, and I would never hire these HR and managers from companies that have performative interview policies. In fact, I would do my best to choose a competitor as a supplier over them.
They should change their motto to "We're sadistic"…
