The interview was very rushed. I was supposed to meet with both the president, Joe, and an HR representative at the same time, but was told the HR rep was busy on a conference call. During the time between Joe and I, he seemed uninterested right off the bat - as if he were bored. He cut me off a few times after I began answering questions he would ask, never fully letting me answer a question that just may be important in displaying my knowledge. He also didn't seem to be fully aware of what the job description entailed when I asked a question about something that was unclear.
He claimed this was a two-way interview. I've had those and this was not one of them.
Once the HR rep Arica was available, she came into the room and Joe immediately left. She was sweet, but she did let me know that they had to rush this interview. She asked a few questions and asked if I had any. I asked her the same questions I asked the Joe to get her take on it.
I did not receive an offer, but I'm kind of glad I didn't after how unprofessional Joe and the interview itself came off. I am not writing this review because I'm upset. I had already received an offer elsewhere and was curious about this position because it was closer to where I live.
My advice: If you find that there is a squeeze for time, reschedule so you can really get a feel for the interviewee. Also, perhaps find somebody else to sit in on the interview that won't cut people off.
