Phone screen with head recruiter, followed by four 30 minute interviews with four different team members, including a data analysis exercise. They made it seem like everything went really well, but I essentially got ghosted with zero feedback. Any time I reached out for an update they said they simply didn't have one. It wasn't until I reached out to one of the interviewers herself telling her I have an offer elsewhere that I got a rejection email within 15 minutes (by the coordinator, not even the interviewer)! All in all, it was a lot of effort and hard work that I was happy to put in given how much I liked the role. But being dragged along and forcing them to close the loop made me rethink if i'd even want to work there. In the end, I found out they hired someone who had 10 years of experience in the account manager role, even though their job description requirement shows a much lower range. In other words, most candidates will spin their wheels for Pinterest only to be booted by those who, by definition, are overqualified. Media, social media, and marketing are all very easy to pick up given the world we live in, so the priority should always be people who would FIT the team and be FAST LEARNERS, not someone who has already been there done that and witnessed the birth of Christ to boost.
