Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso PitchBook nel mese di dic 2020
Colloquio
Started with a phone screening with a recruiter. The recruiter was nice and engaging, they asked some pretty basic questions but couldn't answer some basic questions that I asked. They did follow up shortly after the call which was nice.
The second stage was with a hiring manager and another employee on the team. The two people were not engaged at all and had zero personality, they had sort of a hostile attitude and made it hard to make it a normal conversation. I was given some materials about the company and the culture before the interview, but there was basically nothing mentioned about it. They say their company culture is strong, but there was no evidence of it with the people I interviewed, maybe it's only toward their own employees. As mentioned in a previous interview review, their company came across as disorganized, unprepared, and unprofessional.
I was also misinformed by the recruiter about a crucial portion of the second interview which contributed to the negative interview experience.

Domanda 1
What do you know about PE, VC, M&A?
Why are you interested in the company?
There are three total steps. First step is a screening call, low intensity behavioral questions. The second round is with a hiring manager, same behavioral questions but some technical questions mixed in. Ended in a mock call. Third round is a higher up, same behavioral questions and trying to assess fit.

Quick phone followed by zoom or in person. Quick to get back to you and start next month. Average difficulty for SDR role, other promotions are seemingly merit-based only (quota attainment)
The first interview is a 15 minute phone call with the recruiter and they ask you basic questions about the role, and what you know about VCs, private equity, and M&A.
