The interview process took about 3 weeks total. One 30 min recruiter screen, one 45 min Hiring Manager screen, a writing assignment and six 45 min sessions with a mix of PMs, Design, Product leadership.
Mostly behavioral questions- "tell me about a time when" and one product strategy discussion.
This process mimics exactly what Amazon does. The writing sample I was asked to provide even used the same prompt I was given by Amazon a week earlier. Clearly whoever is in their HR or product organization brought this process with them. As an applicant this made me wonder- are you Amazon or are you Pitchbook?
Sadly, there was almost no diversity in my interview panel. Of all the people I interacted with at Pitchbook all but one where white males in their late 20's and 30's.
After going through the interview process and spending a fair amount of time prepping, writing and meeting with the team , I was notified via email that they would not be moving forward with an offer. Obviously I don't expect detailed feedback on the interview process but at the very least I expect a phone call to have that conversation not an email.
