Made it to a second round interview with the Department Head. I was ghosted for weeks after that which makes it pretty obvious I didn't get the role. I even sent a follow up email asking for an update and was ignored. I finally got a rejection email with no constructive feedback. A few weeks later I came across the company's LinkedIn and saw the Producer they hired. She was a friend of someone at the company, literally thanking them in a LinkedIn post for getting them the job there. I was clearly more qualified than her as well, but knowing people gets you places obviously.
