It took 8 days to hear back after applying. The application process was exceedingly simple. They did not want my resume, only my work history. The first step was a phone screen, during which the recruiter didn't even ask me any questions. She wanted to make sure I knew what the company did and what the company was about, as well as get a feel for why I applied. After this I was offered an in person interview. They stated the interview process generally took 2 hours, however mine only took 1 hour and 30 minutes. It was very relaxed and there were no formal interview questions other than "Walk me through your resume". Through the whole interview it seemed the hiring manager was trying to get a sense of who I am as a person and whether or not I would be a good fit for the company and the team. It was very unstructured and completely unlike anything I had ever experienced. Overall, the interview process left me wanting to work for Instructure more than when I initially applied.

The most interesting thing about this interview was the in depth questions about my work history. The hiring manager didn't just want to know what I had done, but *why* I had done the things I had done. He wanted to get a sense of my motivations and personality.

The Interview process was very straightforward. The first stage was with the recruiter, followed by two stages with the hiring manager and a final Presentation. It was overall a very pleasant experience.

Standard HR phone screen, then video call with director, then on-site interviews with 5 different groups. Strange company, with mostly empty office. Very few women. Couple of questions seemed inappropriate -- asking me for details about who else I'm interviewing with and how far along in their process I was. Also, one of the younger engineers was unprofessional with me, flirting in the interview. Big red flag and a pass for me.

I submitted my application online and set up a phone interview with one of the hiring managers within a few days. During the phone interview the hiring manager/supervisor was shockingly rude. He asked questions quickly, making it seem like he didn’t care enough to listen or respond to my answer. He would often “turn” the questions on me (for example if I asked what qualities a successful AM has he would respond “What do you think?”). During our phone call he started discussing and critiquing the performance of two employees . He said such negative things about them I was surprised that Pluralsight HR isn’t doing more to combat this type of behavior from hiring managers. This interview experience was so negative and is the worst interview experience I’ve had to date. The hiring manager was condescending, rude, and misogynistic. If you are thinking of interviewing for this position save yourself some time and energy - stay away. They invited me back for an in-person interview but I declined, and I’m so glad that I did.
