The first time I applied to Postmates (Las Vegas) I heard that they would phone me, they never did. So I applied again received an email telling me where the orientation 'intake' interview was. I arrived on time, attended with 12 others, only 1 of which was also female. Asked what I drove (F-150/CNG fuel), & why I wanted to be a Postmate. Interviewer was in a big hurry to get to airport so cut everyone short. Was told we would hear after 12/28. Two days later received an email saying they weren't proceeding with my app. WHY? I have a spotless driving record & easily pass background checks. So I surmise this was age discrimination. Although if I'm mostly delivering food what that has to do with anything is beyond me. Tried to contact HR...Impossible except by email. I'm not favorably impressed and angry. A reason could have been given, unless the reason Postmates would have given was ILLEGAL!
