      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 5 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Power Home Remodeling (Chester, PA) nel mese di ago 2018

      Colloquio

I interviewed with Power for their benefits administrator position in Aug 2018 and felt it was a good interview. The videos at the beginning, albeit more millennial-centric than I prefer (and yes, I am a millennial), were informative and entertaining and took up the first 10 or so minutes of the interview. Next I met with a woman who had been with the company for some time and had risen through the ranks (I think she was Director of Marketing) - a shining example of the possibilities ahead. Our conversation was entirely about me as a person and my experience and I felt I got along well with the interviewer as we made a few personal links and connections. I left feeling confident that I would get a second round interview with the hiring manager, a rare feeling for a humble person. I sent a thank you email within 24 hours of the interview and waited to hear back. I waited a week with no contact before reaching out to the recruiter at Power to which I heard nothing back from...ever. I'm a recruiter and I work in HR so I understand the struggle of not remembering to follow up with everyone on a timely basis, but there are no excuses for neglecting to follow up with candidates regardless of how many recruiters do it. I pride myself in not replicating the experience I had with Power where you just hear nothing. This is unprofessional and has tainted my overall experience and image of the company. They have good reviews and I don't doubt that, but there is always more work to do in bettering the company and this is certainly a pain point. To the managers and directors of the HR/recruiting team - do better! Companies interview 4 to 5 times more people than they hire so those interactions at a recruiting level are key.
