Surprisingly difficult for an intermediate role I have been doing native mobile for nearly 10 years and been through 8 different companies in Toronto. Never expected to experience such a difficult interview in from small-medium size company located in Richmond, BC. The interview was heavily focused on the programming language's syntax, concurrency behaviours, and refactoring small bits of tricky code. No discussion of previous experience, no platform specific questions, purely a difficult test of your knowledge of the language's concurrency framework. The interviewers seem to be extremely senior in age and work experience. Their hiring expectations are misaligned with the role’s pay grade.
