Contacted by outside agency, took a few weeks to be able to talk to the VP of sales, we had a fantastic conversation and got along really well. The next step was onsite, I met with a bunch of different people and they were all extremely friendly and supportive. I was asked to do a 30 minute pitch about my product. It was fine, I can see where that would be helpful. They were all very engaged and asked questions just like a real sales call. Was asked to do a 30/60/90 plan by the sales VP. Unfortunately it didn’t end with an offer but I did learn a lot about their culture and they have some insanely smart people. Their VP of sales was one the nicest and forthcoming people I have met in a while. The only negative I would say is that they didn’t call or email me to reject me it was just a text from the recruiter... However, it’s a startup people are busy, I get it. Especially with recent funding I would assume I was probably one of many they were rejecting so it’s tough to be able to reach out to everyone.
