Overall, it was a solid experience. Everyone I met was very knowledgeable, and the product is genuinely interesting. That said, it’s not for everyone, and there are a few issues: - Multiple 90-minute technical interviews is a big time investment. - I applied for a senior role, but during the process they may downgrade your level (which obviously impacts compensation), even if the feedback is good. - Even relatively small concerns in feedback can lead to a level demotion. - The coding interview was fun (project-based), but the interviewer seemed to expect me to implement their mental model rather than collaborate/iterate. I was pushed toward a high-level design early, before fully understanding the “why.” I’d recommend them, but don’t get too attached. The process is lengthy, and it can be disappointing if expectations around leveling aren’t aligned.

First I had a recruiter interview of 30 mins, then they scheduled a live coding interview with one of their senior engineers. They gave me an hour to do an app from scratch, and of course I was not able to do it, so then the guy asked me to finish it at home. I said, what is the purpose of live coding then? You could've given me a home assignment. They rejected me because I didn't finish the whole app (including tests) in one hour. The guy said previous candidates were able to do it, when I asked how, he admitted they were juniors and didn't follow any architecture or clean code principles. So by that I realised this is definitely not the place I want to work in!
