      Colloquio per Assistant Brand Manager

      25 gen 2019
      Candidato anonimo a colloquio
      Istanbul
      Nessuna offerta
      Esperienza negativa
      Colloquio difficile

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Procter & Gamble (Istanbul)

      Colloquio

The process was simply too long. After the application, I completed the online assessments, in which the tests were a combination of math/logic and behavioral questions. After completing the assessments, they took almost 2 months to call me about the further steps. During the interview, the interviewer told me that they would call me in 1.5 month for another interview (not even the last one) in the case I have been successful. While I completely understand that they get so many applications, I think there should be a better way to organize everything. People who apply for jobs are usually unemployed and don't really have the option to wait 6 months to find out whether or not a company will hire them. And the interviewer told me that there isn't even a specific position that is open, she said they will select the candidates beforehand and contact them if a position opens up, which was even a bigger red flag. Also, the interviewer doesn't really care who the candidates or what their skills are. She moved directly to the questions (which are all behavioral) after a very short introduction. They are mainly obsessed with your leadership skills so make sure to come up with a nice story to tell them about how good of a leader you are. Doesn't matter if you just graduated from college, you must be a leader somehow even if you have zero experience. No chances if you haven't led any group/student society until now. I know that leadership is in the company culture of P&G and they value it a lot. But it doesn't really tell that much about how hard-working or ethical you are. Also, people can easily lie about their leadership experience. Overall, I found their recruitment style very superficial and I'm glad they turned me down after the first interview. I would not enjoy it at all to wait 6 months to find out they are not going to move further with my application.

P&G est très organisé et structuré dans son processus. Sur trois interviews, il y en a un toutes les semaines, donc le processus se déroule sur un peu moins d'un mois.

      Colloquio

The first interview was with HR and was more focused on my leadership, problem solving and communication skills. The interviewer was very friendly and made me feel incredibly comfortable. She asked me follow up questions on the experiences I shared and gave clear instructions on the way I should have structured my answers

P&G is a 3 interview process. The first and second interviews are 50% personal experiences, 50% situation questions. I believe the third interview is the same. You will be interviewing not with HR, but rather people in top positions in the department you are entering.

Imagine that one of the brands is experiencing a drop in sales, what are some of the principle reasons that this could be happening?
