I went through their college recruiting hiring process, I know that it is different from their hiring of other candidates.
I first spoke with a Progressive employee at a school job fair. I gave them my resume and it was submitted. After a few days a received an email asking me to fill out a survey online to get an idea of what I was looking for. From what I recall it was pretty basic, type of job I was looking for, pay range, was I willing to relocate, etc.
I was contacted and asked to schedule a test at one of their offices. Since I was at school several hours away from any of them I was able to set it up during spring break. The test was 2 parts, the first was timed and had to do mostly with math and English questions that got progressively harder as the questions went on. The second part was a 200 or so question personality test. I was informed that I passed both sections. (To my knowledge this is now done online and you don't have to go to an office anymore, a recent change)
After that I was reached out by another recruiter for a phone interview (I can't remember if they emailed me or if they called to ask me about it.)
The woman I worked with was very pleasant and informative. She conducted the phone interview as well. They focus on the STAR method of answering questions, most of which were situation-based.
Once that was completed they had me fill out all the paperwork ahead of time for an EXTENSIVE background check. This can take them several weeks for conduct so they had me do it ahead of time. I was also scheduled for an in person interview at one of the offices once I graduated from school.
I did my interview 3 days after graduation. I met with one of the regional managers who conducted the interview. He was very pleasant as well and asked me a lot of questions about myself and also situation-based. He discussed the different openings that were available and which worked best for me. They seemed to take this into consideration as they eventually offered me the position that worked best for my circumstances.
I heard back just a day or two over a week later from the first recruiter who did the phone interview and she said they were prepared to make me an offer. She went over A LOT of information regarding pay and benefits and then gave me a day or so to think about it.
When I reached out to her to accept the offer they gave me two potential start dates.
Prior to starting the branch manager called to greet me and welcome me (He went to the same college as we so we had shared background) My direct supervisor also contacted me to let know what I needed for the first few days, what the office dress was like and to introduce herself.

Give an example of a time you had to use your customer service skills to alleviate a problem?
What is a time when you would you say you failed, and how did you correct it?

The interview for me was a 3 part process. The first two were recorded and AI style inquiries. The last was an in-person (virtual) interview. I highly recommend anyone who is interviewing to learn the S.T.A.R. method of answering qurstions. This actually is good advice for interviewing for any position in any industry. Anyway, back to Progressive. It was almost a month long process. At least 7-10 days in between each step. It was a bit scary having radio silence during the process, but if this is a company you are aiming for, I suggest you just utilize your patience in the process. They will want to know the basic questions and qualifications you possess. They also will want to know about your time-management, how you relate to customers and handle stressful situations, deadlines and the big one "WHY DO YOU WANT TO WORK FOR PROGRESSIVE?" Like I said, research the company, be prepared with answers and just remember to breathe and do your best.

Star format, 1 interview with HR, one with local manager and personality test. It was not particularly difficult. However, I would recommend preparing extra. They do expect you to answer everything in STAR format.

You start with a test online. It’s a lot of math, statistics, and reasoning. The next step is to record answers to interview questions. It’s timed and you’re expected to answer in STAR format. The last step is an in person interview which was pretty normal.
