From start to finish, process took 50 days. 28 days from final interview to decision. Started with a Personality assessment. Once I was notified I passed, I got a phone interview. Interviews with progressive are all STAR format behavioral question. I spent hours practicing sample questions to be prepared. Phone interview went great, moved on to final interview. This was a video chat with the head recruiter from Iowa. I’ve been in sales 10 years and I will tell you, this individual was very hard to build rapport with. She hardly looked up at the camera, didn’t smile, and make the interview a bit awkward. As if interviewing from my kitchen table wasn’t already awkward. I followed up with her via email, thanking her for her time and reiterating my interest. No word for nearly a month when I got an email saying I would not be chosen. Who can afford to put their life on hold for almost two months? Not impressed and I’m sure a lot of talent slips through their cracks. I was hired by their competitor within 3 weeks.
