      Colloquio per Business Development Coordinator

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Projects Assured nel mese di set 2024

      Colloquio

Very extensive interview process for the role. I was invited to interview from this role via a recruiter who worked with the company. After a phone interview with the external recruiter I was then asked for one with the internal recruiter. After this, I had a phone interview with the internal recruiter, which had to be organised for within working hours owing to PA’s culture. Most of this interview was spent selling me on the role, and the flexibility and great culture they’re working towards. Admittedly I was sold. There were only a couple of real interview questions which were breezy. They also asked about my salary expectations and I answered with a reasonable amount. I then had an in person interview with one of the superiors for the role. Again, the majority of the interview was spent selling me on the role, the wonders of working for PA and why I should want to work here. Again, only a small part of the interview was spent on real questions and they were the same as the phone call. This went over an hour. It was successful and I progressed to another in person interview for the role a week later. Only about a quarter of the hour long interview was spent selling me on the role. This was explained as making sure I culturally fit into the company. The final questions were admittedly worth showing up for and I personally felt my responses were well received. For the amount of money the role was offering, it should not have been such an extensive process. There were way too many interviews which required to take time away from my current role. I was called by the external recruiter who said I was unsuccessful and the reason for this was wanting too much money and they were able to find a candidate which accepted more in line with their expectations. I’ll admit, this was a shock to me as what I was requesting is at the low end of this roles market value. I was upfront with my salary expectations from the start, but when it gets to the end of the interview process to be told I was asking for too much. Interviews involve taking time off work to get to. For something I had been upfront with from the start to apparently be the reason for not being successful is a serious waste of my time. As good as PA’s values are about people’s time were, this was pretty contradictory to what their beliefs are. While I’m grateful to not be successful if they’re unable to pay me what I know I’m worth, I hope they consider in the future that this was pretty inconsiderate.
