The interview consist of 9 nurses and 2 doctors. Of the individuals on the panel: 1 nurse, was the Director of both Case Management and Utilization Management, and the Cheif Officer of St. Jude at the time.

When I was interviewed, there were a panel of nurses to ask questions abuot the my leadership style. The Director was sphereheading the review, as well as the Supervisor at that time. The questions were to direct my attention to a staff which was very channeling to other former Directors and Supervisors. They needed someone whom was well rounded yet firm. They felt that I would provide good leadership which would allow a better working environment. The Doctor and Director whom I interviewed with, felt that I was well rounded and that my knowledge about the work was excellent. They recieved feedback from my former employer based on a leadership position as a Director of both Case Managment and Utilization Management. The interview was both written and verbal questions for someone in a leadership role.

Standard phone interview, recruiter was engaged during the conversation. Answered all my questions about the position, was very positive I received a call the next day to schedule an in person interview which was scheduled for the next week. Interview panel consisted of 3 members, hiring manager, another supervisor, and a trainer. Strange and unwelcoming interview, interviewers were not engaged, couldn't be less interested in anything I had to say. The experience was very uncomfortable and I was glad to leave the room. I was not surprised that I didn't receive an offer, but I was surprised by the radio silence. Not even a courtesy "thanks but no thanks" email. I've heard great things about the company, but I was not impressed by the hiring process.

The interview process took approximately a month+. Got a call from a confused recruiter that left odd messages on both my cell phone voice mail and my home phone. I called her back and she spent 5 minutes discussing my voicemail message. Odd. The interview itself was standard process with two interviewers taking turns asking questions. "Tell me about a time when..." "How would you deal with a direct report who..." stock questions. Very nice people. Very nice environment. Thought I did a very good job with the interview. Got called back for 2nd interview; but they were indecisive about whether or not they were going to go forward with hiring anyone for the position. Ultimately, they canceled the posting and no one was hired. Bummer.
