      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Providence (Portland, OR) nel mese di nov 2017

      Colloquio

1st step after application is an email from the recruiting department asking for a 30 min phone interview. I completed the phone interview and it was very positive, as my skills, experience and background with this company stood out to the recruiter and she shared rather enthusiastically that she thought I'd be an excellent fit and would forward my resume on to the hiring manager. Almost a week went by so I emailed to follow up, a different recruiter responded and let me know the manager wanted to schedule an in person interview, they also sent me a link to where I could enter 5 (at least) references they could reach out to, all 5 of my references were from Providence, and these individuals have given great and positive reviews and references for me in the past (did not seem to make a difference)- I scheduled the in person interview for later the same week, the recruiter did the scheduling and sent me a confirmation email with the time and location of the interview and who I would be meeting with. When I got to the interview early and checked in, the lady at the front desk said they had just been asking about me and then the clinic manager and supervisor came and got me right away. I was given a detailed run down of the job description and duties and the kind of team member they were looking for. There were 4 people interviewing me. They took turn asking questions. Their main focus was on compassion since the specialty clinics serve cancer patients. One of the negative points of the interview was one of the interviewers first questions to me was aggressive and confrontational (in tone) "You were late to the interview today, can you explain why that was?" I was early to the interview and they thought I was late. They thought it was at 2pm, but the recruiter scheduled and sent confirmation for 2:30pm (I arrived at 2:10pm). I just answered with that the interview was at 2:30 and I have confirmed with the recruiter. I knew I was not late or wrong so I did not get defensive or snap back, I just simply stated what was. I didn't really even get an apology for that, I still felt like they thought I was wrong somehow. For a clinic that stresses compassion I did not get the sense that anyone in that room was treating me as such during the process. Interviewing did seem to end abruptly, and energy in the room at the end definitely left me feeling as I would not be called back. 3 days after interview I was called by yet a 3rd different recruiter and was left a message that they were moving forward with different candidates.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

Tell us about a time when you showed/demonstrated compassion, what did you do/say? Tell us about a time when you dealt with a difficult customer/situation - how did you handle it and what was the outcome?
