Transcripts, Test scores and other application material needed to be submitted. Then the graduate school evaluated and provided admission. The offer later was generated by the department. Visa letters were generated by ISS office.

Interviews occur by phone or not at all. Very different from other universities that have a more strenuous interview/vetting process for students. I think this is a problem with Purdue's graduate student recruitment.
