The interviewer was cordial but not outwardly friendly. It was a challenge to engage them about my work or the work I would do at their company. I was never shown sample projects I'd work on, never asked about my current job. Instead, they asked me lots of personal questions about my hobbies, my family life and what kind of people I currently work with. I showed my portfolio of samples, and they did not ask me anything about the design or production of them. It took them over a month to send me a rejection email regarding the position. I found out later they hired someone with far less experience. A friend of mine who worked there told me I was well liked by human resources, but I was perceived as a threat to the interviewer since I had experience as a senior production artist with project management and printing experience.
