1. Recruiter emailed me to set up a time for a phone interview. Asked questions to gauge my experience and interest for the position. 2. Then I was sent an invite for an interview with the hiring manager and the director of engineering. 3. I was sent a coding assignment which involved building a CRUD microservice app in any language/framework, and was asked an estimate of how long I would take. Then they set up an interview with the engineers to discuss the coding assignment. This is when it was decided that I was not the best for that particular position and the recruiter recommended me to interview for another position because they received good feedback about me from the interviewers. I went through the same process for the second position, and was reached out to 1 hour after the final interview with an offer!
