they put you through the ringer. 5 rounds, including 1 presentation based on extensive work that you do FOR FREE and super early, too (round 2 or 3). the industry standard for difficult, make-it-or-break-it projects like this is actually last round, at least in finance, since it's more respectful of candidates' time -- however, it makes since that qral does not follow this standard, as lack of respect seems to be one of their core values. it also seems that there is only 1 person in HR -- unacceptable given the size of this firm -- and the interviewers are random staff without proper training. a few of them are wonderful people who deeply care about potential new hires, while the majority are unfortunately unpleasant people devoid of any soft skills who turn the ostensibly simple interviews into odd, difficult episodes of Rude Question Time. i appreciate the care they put into selecting their team, but it makes you wonder how your interviewers with such unprofessional behavior somehow made it through the process as well. it also makes you question the reputation of this firm -- if this is what it's like here as a candidate, one can only imagine that clients experience similar.....difficulties. don't waste your time, any company that doesn't value you as a candidate absolutely won't value you as an employee. apply to other companies -- they'd pay you more too.
