I received a call to go in for an interview. When I got there they had me fill out 2 papers basically just asking for personal information and a few questions about your goals in life, strengths/weaknesses etc. I was then taken to a room to watch a presentation about the company. After that I was given a 1:1 interview, no questions were asked, she just looked over the papers I filled out and asked me to come back for orientation tomorrow to get more info on the job and to see if it was a good fit for me and the company. I went back for orientation which lasted only an hour and she showed us another presentation going over what we went over the previous day. She then shows us the Rainbow system which is a water based vacuum. Then she took me back and asked what I thought and that we would be setting up appointments and going to customers houses to give them a presentation on the vacuum and see if they wanted to upgrade. She said we would be payed $12.50/hour based on a 4 hour appointment window to the customers home and then if we did 20 appointments in one week we would be payed $1000. I asked a few questions regarding if the company offered benefits such as health insurance etc. and she said "no but you'll be making enough money to be able to afford it yourself" basically. After all that she said she thought I was a good fit for the company and asked me to come back tomorrow to start training. I ended up declining the job offer the following day because it just seemed like a glorified telemarketer job.
