Application form on line asks for the month and the year of the candidate. If someone has 10 years of experience, How is it appropriate to ask the actual graduation data in the application stage?

Why in this day and age, does Qualtric ask for a candidates year of graduation? Does this not smack of ageism?

There were many steps involved, the list with additional interviews seemed never ending. The final step was a panel presentation and demo. I never understood how a product demo would help to judge a senior seller
