Skype interview with the existing lead programmer/CTO. I wasn't warned that I should expect to have to turn on my PC camera, so I didn't dress for the occasion, and the interviewer's eyes widened in evident horror when he saw me in a T-shirt and untrimmed graying beard. He interviewed me from Quidco's kitchen/common-room which had a lot of background noise. I kinda got the idea within the first minute that the interviewer clearly thought I was too old for the role, and the tone of his questions was hostile, such as 'You do understand OOP, don't you?'. It didn't matter that I am a highly experienced PHP developer. He seemed more obsessed with how old I was.
