      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso R/GA nel mese di ott 2016

      Colloquio

I sent a resume on July 2016 based on my qualifications and the fact I did some homework on the company and office (cool location, nice roster of blue chips, etc.). Three months later, I received an e-mail from the Talent Acquisition head asking of I was interested in the position. Interview was scheduled after I passed preliminary questions about salary, etc. -- the usual vetting. Overall, the Talent Acquisition head was nice and made the process pretty streamlined, but the Group Resource Manager struck me as a challenge; talk of weekly and monthly check-ins regarding performance raised a red flag on possible "control issues." After interview finished, I was told there were more candidates to meet with and by January, there would be updates on next steps as well as meetings (1:1 in-persons with management) and a video conference with the Global Ops VP. January came and went...and I heard nothing. After reaching out to express my interest as well a get an update, I was told that "[we] actually have been freelancing someone for this role the past couple [of] months and we have decided to flip him to perm, so [the] it looks like we are all set. Best of luck to you!" Uh...yeah. First: the HR Department needs to do some serious proofing before sending "Dear John" e-mails, much less ANY e-mails. Second: any reason WHY you didn't mention the "temp" thing earlier? Total "full disclosure" fail. Third: I did some "post-mortem" research on LinkedIn and, as of April, the position I applied for has NOT been filled, which means A) this office is financially strapped and cannot/will not hire someone full-time for this position or B) the leadership is rather "difficult" and cannot hold onto permanent help at all. Overall, I think R/GA is a cool company with equally cool history but based on my experience meeting with it's HR and Operations staff, I find the lack of transparency and professionalism rather alarming. And if they think they'll manage to get a temp to handle moving an office of 70+ people on what they pay a staffing agency, then all I have are two words: good luck.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

How would you handle a request for an executive travelling to NYC who needs a hotel room UNDER a certain price-point (i.e. -- Manhattan hotels too pricey).
