      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite segnalazione di un dipendente. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso REBBL (Santa Monica, CA) nel mese di feb 2023

      Colloquio

The interview process at Rebbl was very unorganized. They initially used a recruiter to start contact but as she wasn't keeping up with the comms, the hiring managers took over. The employees at Rebbl were all very kind, and open and showed intelligence in their respective fields. Unfortunately, their expectations were above and beyond the role they were hiring for. They also did not initially disclose how the process would unfold, other than it would be a long process. After 4 interviews (lasting over an hour each) and additional emails following up on conversations, they asked for a design sample based on a brief they would provide. At that point, I felt like my time was not being valued and therefore would probably not be valued at the company. I excused myself from continuing the process. I got the sense they did not have a firm plan in place around what the role would cover and were functioning under a typical churn-and-burn start-up mentality. Team members admitted to overworking in almost every interview, and although it seemed like the role was meant to help remedy the problem, I felt the person filling the role would be given unrealistic expectations similar to those they set in their process. I think they needed 3-4 roles filled instead of 1 they had open at the time to truly remedy the unrealistic expectations and culture of overwork. I wish them the best in their endeavor and hope they've found a better balance.
