      Colloquio

I met the CEO, Timothy Seward, at North Carolina State University when he and an analyst, Kaitlyn, were giving a presentation to my Marketing class. I walked up to him afterwards and told him I was very interested in his company. He proceeded to ask me my GPA and gave me a card for the recruiter that I should contact. He was very welcoming and told me multiple times that I sounded like I'd be a great fit. 30 minutes later, I had filled out the online application, tailored my cover letter and resume and sent those via email to the email on the card that Timothy had given me. In less than an hour, she had called me and wanted to schedule a time to meet in person. (There is usually a phone interview but I had bypassed that because I met Timothy in person and he had mentioned my name to the recruiter.) The first trip to the office was just to take 3-4 tests(IQ, Typing, Values, etc.). I had gotten lost because there are multiple offices for ROI Revolution on Google Maps so remember to look up their address online or, even better, visit the office before the interview. Luckily, they overlooked the fact that I was 15 minutes late. I received a call to schedule the first interview round a couple days after I had passed the tests. The recruiter assured me that they were very interested in talking with me. This interview round lasted about an hour. After the first round interview, she took me out into the lobby and told me that they needed to discuss before letting me know if I was moving forward in the process. Minutes later, she came out with a book and told me that I was moving forward and would need to read as much as I could of The Findability Formula before our next interview. I read the book over the weekend as I had an interview the next Monday. It wasn't a lot of time to read a book, as I also had exams going on at the same time, but it was worth reading and it really helped me understand the basic points to the job. I actually found it very interesting. During the second interview, they asked me very similar questions to those that they asked in the first interview but there were different people. The recruiter assured me that different people would be sitting in, as they were trying to find the best fit for me and that they were organized in teams. This was comforting and I appreciated the fact that these tests, as well as the multiple people sitting in on the interview, would all contribute to finding the best team for me. This interview round lasted about an hour. After the second interview, the recruiter immediately asked me my availability for a third interview. We scheduled it for that same week and I came back for a final round with a smaller amount of people. The questions in this interview round were also very similar to the first two rounds but they were a little more depth of what I could bring to the table, if I understand what the job actually entailed and what the companies values were. They did an absolutely fantastic job of informing me of expectations, core values and they did not sugarcoat the fact that this job was a lot of work. Not only was I up for the challenge, but I was very much hoping that they would just hire me that second. After an hour or so, the recruiter thanked me for my time and told me that she would be in touch at the beginning of the next week. Twenty minutes after I had left the office, she calls me and asks if I can come back because they had reached a decision and would like to hire me. I was flabbergasted and incredibly excited. I was so surprised at how quickly the recruiter had communicated with me throughout and had kept me informed every step of the way about their feelings towards me and my potential future at ROI. Unfortunately, I was heading to work at my other job and had to schedule to come back the following Monday. That Monday, I came in and accepted an offer to work at ROI Revolution. The interview process can be described as difficult but thorough. After the interview process, I felt more confident that this would be a place I would want to work. They looked at every important detail before hiring an employee. It assured me that I was surrounded by more than competent people who could help me every step of the way during my training at this job. Everyone is so talented and bright and I appreciate all the work that ROI Revolution put into the interview process. It was worth the three weeks of visiting the office, especially because my coworkers and the management are the best of the best and this is a very great place to work.

      Colloquio

The interview process at ROI is fairly extensive. After applying, I received an email requesting a phone interview. It was a very basic 30 minute interview with your standard behavioral questions and inquiries as to why you chose to apply to ROI. The recruiter was very polite and didn't drop any curve-ball questions. Following the interview, I was contacted and told they would like for me to visit the building in Raleigh for assessment tests and a brief, in-person interview. The first assessment I had to take was an 80 question logic test that had to be completed within an hour; this test had a mix of pattern recognition, anagram, and math word problems The second assessment was a grammar test with no time limit and basic grammatical correction/fill in the blank questions. The third assessment was a typing test that can be taken multiple times (they're looking for 50+ WPM). After completing these assessments, there was a second 30 minute interview with the recruiter with questions focusing mainly on my resume. Following this visit, I received an email requesting I return for a final panel interview with the recruiter and the managers leading the department. This interview lasted about 45 minutes and was filled with situational questions and questions about my experience with data analysis. I was contacted the evening of my final interview and told they would like to extend an offer. The interview process took around 3-4 weeks and it was very clear they want to hire individuals that will fit in well. The ROI employees I interacted with through the interview process were incredibly professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with.

ROI's interview process is very thorough, and for me, took place over a series of four rounds which were conducted over about a month's time. Round 1: 15-20 minute phone interview. Very typical behavioral questions and briefly went over my former job experience. At the end of the interview, I was invited into the office for the next round. Round 2: Started out with a brief tour of the office, which I thought was a nice touch but was just a bit awkward since you are asked to wear interview attire and the rest of the office was dressed casually. After the tour, you move on to what many consider to be the most polarizing part of the interview process which are the assessments. I was put into a conference room by myself and given a series of assessments, which includes 80 logic questions which you are given 60 minutes to complete. They varied from mathematical, to vocabulary, anagrams, patterns, etc. I really do believe ROI just wants to test what thinking style you respond best to and if that would properly correlate to the position you are under consideration for. After this, there are quick grammar and typing assessments. Round 3: Short in-person interview. My interviewer was the same person from HR who performed my phone interview. It is basically a more expanded version of the phone interview, with more in-depth behavioral questions. It took about 20 minutes. Round 4: Final in-person panel interview. I spoke with the same HR representative I had been speaking with for my first two interviews, the head of HR, and the head of the department I would be working under. The interview was very straight-forward, and all the questions were targeted at why I was interested in ROI, what I was looking for in a new position, and my work/educational background. No questions are targeted to catch you off guard, I found they were all straight forward and directed at truly gathering if my experience and personality were a good fit for the position for firm. Overall, despite the interview process being longer than usual, I found it to be largely a positive experience, with everyone being friendly and responsive throughout.

I applied this position through school' s career system. The HR reach out to me very quickly after I submitted my application. Two days later we set a first round phone interview. The first round interview is very basic questions. The HR didn't give any feedback right after my answers, which I felt bad.
