First a short call from a recruiter on you background, motivation (and probably social skills). Then a first round with two younger employees, about motivation for M&A, background and some general knowledge and think process questions. The a second round with more senior people.

The application was the same process as any other job. The next part was answering questions about myself, what I offer to the role etc. There were math questions as well however they were simple as unlimited time.
