I was contacted via email and interviewed by the publisher as well as my immediate supervisor and her boss. The publisher asked me few to no questions about my abilities or the position, instead she asked me where I live and basically talked at me about random things for 30 minutes. She was very nice and friendly, but it was clear she knew very little about the position, which was a red flag. The supervisor who interviewed me asked me relevant questions, was incredibly friendly and seemed smart.
