I applied for the role in late September and finally heard back nearly three months later. Once I did hear back from the internal recruiter, however, a phone screen was set up very quickly. A lead engineer contacted me at home and was courteous and professional. The technical questions were not overly difficult, but I wasn't expecting to be asked about load balancer configuration or database query troubleshooting. The successful candidate will need to be extremely well-rounded. It was fairly clear less than halfway through the hour-long phone call that I didn't have the technical breadth they were looking for, but the caller was thorough and polite. I heard back from the recruiter the very next day.
