I applied online and a phone interview was scheduled with a recruiter. I have several years of experience in a very similar role. At the phone interview, the recruiter asked a lot of straight forward questions related to the position. I thought I answered the questions well and toward the end of the interview the recruiter made comments like "I hope you get it. They're hiring several people so you have a very good shot." and spent the last 10 min or so of the interview going into lots of detail about the company and the next steps in the interview process. Two days later, I received a form "no reply" rejection email saying I wouldn't be moving forward.
