Quite a drawn out experience with a number of different rounds, leaving hiring manager and decision maker until the end so not best use of everyone’s time. Questions were quite standard though a couple seemed designed to catch people out. Unclear what each team and hiring manager’s priorities were, and sometimes got the feeling this was another tick box interview taking up people’s time. Extensive marketing experience seemed like a negative point for hiring for this role for some reason.

I had a scheduled 30-minute interview call with an HR representative from a company based in the United States.
Cons: The recruitment process was extremely disorganised. The HR decided to not moving forward my application. and I reached out to the HR representative for feedback, but she never responded.
Then, a month later, I unexpectedly received an email from the same HR representative asking if I was still interested in the position and requesting to schedule a 30-minute interview with her team. Confused, I followed up, only to realise that she had no proper tracking system—she didn’t even remember which candidates she had already interviewed or rejected. And it quite funny how she just copy and paste the previous rejection email.
This lack of organisation was a major red flag for me.
