I was contacted by Talen Acquisition for a brief phone screen. I then interviewed virtually with the hiring manager withing a week; I was told I would be moving on to the next round of interviews which were scheduled for a week and a half later. I met virtually with 2 Department Leaders and on-site with 7 others, including those that would be reporting to the role.
I then never heard anything again. Completely ghosted.
I was told I would hear "something" in a week or two. I gave them time, then finally reached out to the Talent Acquisition team member inquiring about the decision-manking process. I was completely ignored.
For a high-level role such as this, and for interviewing with so many people, I would have expected and appreciated any independent communication to myself from the company but at the very least, my inquiry email should have been replied to, even to say "Sorry, we we with someone else."
Being completely ignored and ghosted is insulting considering all of the time I and the interviewrs put into the process and unprofessional. I am dissappointed that this is how the process was "ended" and I was just expected to assume on my own that I did not get the job.
