      Colloquio per IT Project Manager

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Rapid7 (Boston, MA) nel mese di set 2016

      Colloquio

Standard interview process (recruiter reached out, had phone screen, brough into office about a week later). Not sure why I was even brought in initially - it was an IT-centric role, which is not even my background at all. Job/role not clearly defined during the recruitment/phone screening process. I knew it was cyber security, and was just kind of testing the waters after my company had just closed a few weeks earlier, but still would have liked some more info prior to the visit. I was scheduled for 3 interview sessions, but was cut short after one. I was told that the next handful of people who were scheduled to interview me were "swamped" and could not make it. They instead would get feedback from the first interview, and if they felt that the 2nd/3rd interviews were needed, "they'd let me know". However, it was obvious they simply ended the interview process entirely because I clearly lacked the experience/IT background required. Not sure why they felt the need to lie. Even I knew this place wasn't for me and was actually happy to leave. Complete waste of time (and $40 for parking). One interviewer I met with seemed half asleep and spent half the time looking at his phone. Office def tries to give off the cliche startup/"we're cool" vibe, complete with glass-walled conference rooms with weirdly-shaped chairs. One of the company mottos is "don't be an a%#", which clearly they don't follow. Also, they tell people to act like a moose, because "moose" is both singular and plural. Or something. Don't waste your time with this place.
