Had an interview with the manager where he asked me how I solve problems to debug and talked about the company. Told me I didn't have enough hands on experience coding. I guess a computer science masters from jhu and 10 years experience wasn't enough. I dont understand how Google, Amazon, meta, Netflix, tesla and many others want to interview me but not them. Clearly I have a strong resume. I even passed the first round of Google interview with my next coming up soon. Somehow with no technical questions he decided I shouldn't get a technical interview. I do believe it was race related and I probably didn't seem to fit what they truly want. I even did THE SAME EXACT WORK they do my ENTIRE career. It is not on my resume because it was in the Intel community but I did state that in the interview. I was very upset by that email as I feel like they haven't figured out how to hire just yet. Sadly that hiring manager is the one making decisions on the process. He has an impressive resume but seems to be one of those people managing who should not. Not the end of the world as I could get the Google job but very shocking. There are many reviews about poor hiring process. That has not changed. I would avoid them until they figure that out.

I recently interviewed at Rebellion Defense, a cutting-edge defense startup known for its innovative approach to AI and national security solutions. The process was fast-paced and dynamic, much like the company itself. The interviewers emphasized their mission to modernize defense technology and the impact of their work on real-world challenges. I was impressed by their collaborative culture and their focus on solving complex problems with advanced technology. The questions were technical but fair, aimed at assessing both my expertise and alignment with their values of innovation and agility. It was an exciting glimpse into a company shaping the future of defense.
