I learned about Regency Lighting by networking at a funeral. My life coach said to let everyone know I was looking for a job. This person found out that this company was looking for a CSR from the owner's Facebook post. I sent in my resume, the HR person called me, went to get first interview with HR, was asked to take Excel and Outlook exams, passed those. Sent up to meet with three other managers in three departments. Each explained job opportunity. One of the liked me, offered job. This wasn't the career building job. This is the job springboard job- I took it because I knew I could do it, got me into a new industry, brought in cash flow.
