Had one preliminary interview over the phone. Then had a Microsoft teams interview. That took over two hours with 4 total meetings (possible fifth one but the VP was busy and couldn’t make it) and a break. I was informed that they ask Simple questions and saw the general questions asked for everyone. But the people that i asked about the interview process all told me essentially the same things about the interview questions and all hired within the last three years. It’s no surprise that implicit racial bias is present to maintain the same demographics. It’s definitely interesting that most of their questions that they asked me were improvised after saying “oh I got one”, in the middle of me answering someone else’s question instead of waiting for me to finish and asking me one of the questions that one would expect they already had prepared. Hopefully other individuals that aren’t white get to go through their usual interviewing methods that they perform with their white interviewees. 10/10 for implicit racial bias. Their feedback to me was that I did not seem prepared and I agree, I didn’t expect to be asked the most irrelevant a and idiotic questions.
