I was contacted by a Talent Acquisition partner to interview for Responsive’s new SDR role within the U.K./I market.
Firstly, I had a pleasant conversation with the Talent Partner.
I wish I could say the same with the Hiring Manager however. Without naming and shaming, this lady who was the hiring manager didn’t bother turning her camera on for the whole interview, I was told that I would receive feedback within a week.
It has been 6 weeks now with no correspondence. It is quite unprofessional to not let a candidate know for one and two to have your camera turned off the entire call for a job interview was a first in my experience. A red flag some might say.
(For context, I have worked at numerous SaaS companies including Fortune 500 ones, done numerous interviews for sales development and account executive roles, worked in numerous markets to date but never experienced this type of treatment before in an interview process.)
It was great to learn about Responsive’s mission however from the Talent Partner and discuss the opportunity nevertheless. Heads up though to anyone who interviews for this.
