A home work task was provided, where I was told it should take one full evening. The task took significantly longer than that to complete - it was clear to me that it was something that the company wrote up but didn't actually check to see how long it would take to complete the exercise. After submitting the exercise to the recruiter, I never heard back. Did not even receive a confirmation that they had received what I had worked on despite reaching out to the HR team several times.
