The longest process ever. Applied start of July, got a call right away and then started the process: first an online hour-long test, followed by a recruiter interview, followed by a one-week take-home challenge, then another 4 rounds of interview. Continued for almost 2 months. Received positive feedback at every step, and very quick turnaround. The last interview was a major setback though - it was with the functional head from HQ London. He seemed disengaged during the interview from the start, asked 2 very open-ended questions without any effort on probing more towards the "right" direction and wrapped up the interview in 20 minutes. The recruiter sent a reject 2 days later. When I asked for feedback, he said there is no constructive feedback as the interviewer only left a brief, stating that I might have difficulty performing under ambiguous and high pressure situations. This is very surprising, as that is very much what I have been doing in a early stage business for years now. This makes it clear that the interviewer had made up his mind even before starting the interview. The experience was great with everyone else, but given the last interviewer is a founding member of the company and functional head, I am glad that it didn't work out - it is definitely not the kind of founding team you want to work with (similar to what most of the articles say about the company's work culture).

Interview with HR was about salary range and little more. She just asked about the background but apart from that she only answered questions. After telling she will get in contact for second interview, she wrote tell me I was excluded from the process.
