Colloquio
I was headhunted by an internal recruitment sourcer at Revolut. I was not given any indication of the team I would have interviewed for, however I was explained that they were looking for a number of lead product managers to lead a number of teams. I agreed to have the first interview with the recruiter, keeping an open mind. The interview was an average screening process. I was asked to introduce myself and my achievements, and to talk about a time I took a product from ideation to launch. The recruiter praised my knowledge. He then informed me at the end of my interview that I should receive an email within 24 hours detailing the next steps. He explained that there would be three additional stages and he would support me throughout the process. He also reconfirmed that I was not been interviewed for a specific role and team, but they were all lead product manager positions available in terms of seniority. Instead, I received a rejection the following day for a product owner role, "as we have concluded that other candidates were more closely aligned with the job requirements and to our team". I was not given any job requirements. If I had, I would have been able to provide answers that were more closely aligned to the experience required since I have a wealth of experience spanning over 15 years in the technology sector. It is the second time I interview at Revolut. Both times, I was contacted for senior leadership roles and I was then rejected for more junior opportunities instead. I appreciate the fact they do not want to pigeon hole candidates into specific positions and they want to give everyone the opportunity to show their level of experience so they can find the best fit internally. However, I find the process lacks the required transparency that enables candidates to manage expectations and have a worthwhile experience regardless of the final outcome. Overall, I found both interview experiences really poor and messy and a bad reflection on the reputation of a company that claim to strive for excellence.

I had an initial phone screen followed by a case interview. The case interviewer gave me a prompt about conversion lift. I solved the case and summarized my solution.
Afterward, the recruiter shared feedback that I hadn’t asked for any data on the conversion funnel (which would have made it impossible to solve the case). Not only had I asked for said data, but I had written every number down. So I simply sent the data back to him and summarized the way that I had used it to solve the case. The recruiter conceded that the situation was strange. Over the next two weeks, he offered twice to clarify the feedback and interview me again in the near future. To date, he has not followed up on either offer.
I could use my imagination to guess what was going on in the background, but I doubt it would be helpful to speculate. The only thing I can say with certainty is that, to me, the experience highlighted some integrity issues at Revolut - the kind that made me comfortable with the outcome and grateful for the insight.

Over the next 3 months, how would you drive a 15% lift in transactions that occur within a customer’s first 3 months?

Overall, they keep the seniority level question "open" to the very last end. Meaning, it's not clear if you are interviewing for a junior, mid-level, senior or director level PM.
Some of the questions as well as an at-home assignment were hard to understand: it's a different approach to answer them as a team lead vs individual contributor, however, it was never made clear throughout the process, what was the actual intent.
