Firstly I would like to say that the recruiter was very pleasant and helpful. They provided me with some good resources as well as scheduled time with me in order to help prep me for my final interview. However I found the month whole interview process very frustrating and elongated. Some of the stuff they ask you is not relevant to the role at all and questions posed by the company employees shows clear lack of training/insight. I think this is due to Revolut having poor tenure (as LinkedIn shows average tenure is one and a half years). You do get the impression from the people interviewing you that the business is quite cut throat and if you aren't performing after 3months to high standards, they pretty much get rid of you. Long story short is after three different calls over the space four weeks I got to the final stage interview for the business development role at Revolut. The question posed in the interview was a case on improving conversation rate of software development hires and reducing the overall recruitment time for this. Anyway, stumbled a bit here and there but overall I felt I managed to answer the case pretty well and defend my position where challenged. However, the most bizzare thing happened. During the interview they emailed me to say the role had been filled. And I only finished the interview at like 17:20 and they emailed me at 17:00. So not only did I waste time preparing and going through the interview that day but so did the revolut employee interviewing me. Overall very frustrating experience. As after my interview I thought I had done well enough only to then see they had filled the role. Strange to think that the company wouldn't let all the potential candidates finish their interview loops and then validate from there. Would seem the 'logical and data' driven way to do things. Anyway, long story short don't waste your time investing in this type of interview loop and make sure you validate that the position you're interviewing for is still available as to not waste your time further if you're in their recruitment bucket.
