I applied for a couple different positions and then received a generic email stating they have reviewed my resume and would like me to schedule a time to come in for an aptitude assessment and a possible interview. I scheduled a date and time for the on-site assessment but prior to this there was another assessment to complete at home. This was about an hour of basic math questions, patterns, vocabulary and ethics. The email did contain a practice test with ten questions to help prep for the assessment. I knew the math back in high school and college but haven't used it in a while so the questions were a bit difficult. If you study these they will be helpful! Once I arrived to the location I went into a computer lab where there were about 10 others taking the assessment which took about an hour to complete. If they have you stay you will be meeting with recruiters, if not chances are you didn't get the job. I understand their reasoning with the test but I applied for a job in HUMAN resources and did not speak to one person in regards to my experience which I found frustrating. I don't feel my math skills should reflect how I work.

The interview process felt unnecessarily lengthy. It began with a 30-45 minute assessment before any face-to-face interaction. When I finally had an onsite interview, the interviewer was remote, which made the experience somewhat disconnected. Following this, they requested another assessment, which felt redundant. The excessive number of assessments seemed counterproductive, and it left me questioning the likelihood of progressing to the next stage.
