First you have the interview with HR that asks for very standard questions like "where do you see yourself in 5 years" or "why do you want to work here", etc.
If you ask what's the programming language they are hiring for, the HR employee will say that she doesn't know .
If you pass that, they will send you through email the Aptitude assessment and Ethical assesment.
The aptitude assessment consists on some logic stuff, it takes around an hour and starts with word patterns like "AABBCC select how the pattern follows"
Then something similar but with shapes. And finally some math problems where you can't use the calculator.
Then on the aptitude test is where this gets weird. They ask you a lot of questions (around 50) of the kind of would you agree that it's good drink or get high before work.
If you pass that, they will invite you to their office. I live in London and would have to take a very expensive 1 hour train or a much cheaper 2 hour train to get to Birmingham. Since the company didn't even offer to pay for the trip I went with the latter.
I got there about 5 minutes early and had 2 interviews with the manager of the development team and after that with his boss.
I spent 1 hour talking with each, that asked exactly the same questions. They were really nice and this part went smoothly.
That's where they confessed that they program in COBOL and they don't advertise it or tell the HR person to tell that to the candidates because most of them would reject the job right away.
After that I had to take the aptitude test (same as before again) but there was a problem with their system that don't allow a name to have special characters (my name has an spanish accent and their ancient software crashed with that).
So they said I would be able to do the aptitude test some other day from my home through Skype.
Once I got home after 2 hours of train 3 hours of interviews and another 2 hours of train (plus around 40 minutes each way to get from the train station to their office that it's a bit far from the city center).
I got home super tired and burned out and got a call from their HR employee that she wanted me to take the test right away, I couldn't refuse so I did. Fortunately I don't think I did worse than before even being so burned out.
Then about a week and a half from that I received an auto email saying I wasn't being taking into account for the position without any explanation or anything. So I sent an email to the HR person to ask for some feedback (at least to know for future interviews) but they didn't reply anymore.

Heard from a recruitment member via email upon applying. Following a response confirming I wanted to continue with the application, I was given an "IQ" assessment to finish. Upon scoring well and within the time frame we were asked to complete a skills assessment to match us to our supposed "dream placement". After completing all of these assessments, the company did not reach out for more than a week after which they finally sent a short rejection email with no feedback or information. Reviews on other platforms support this type of response, seemingly typical behavior.

I was asked to take an at home test as well as a personality test before the first remote interview. The first interview was remote, then I had an onsite interview in which they asked very basic questions.
